Agnes Collar

Agnes Collar is a decorative collar in stockinette stitch with an eyelet border.  It is the perfect accessory for any blouse or dress.  The collar is worked with 1 strand of either Pure Silk or Merino.

The collar is worked back and forth as well as sideways, and it is shaped with short rows. The eyelet pattern is a repeat of 16 rows and you can easily extend the circumference by working additional repeats.  The collar is finished by crocheting a buttonhole loop and attaching 1 button.

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Pure Silk or Merino (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 1 (1) ball.

Needles: 2.5 mm / US1.5 circular needle, or in size to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking): 30 sts and 41 rows = 10 cm [4”] in st st with 2.5 mm / US1.5 needles
