Lace Collar

Lace Collar is a quick and fun project that results in a versatile accessory that is suitable for both special occasions and everyday use.  Lace Collar is the perfect accessory to add a classic touch to any outfit.  The collar fits comfortably around the neck and can be worn over a simple dress, blouse or sweater to add a sweet and elegant look.  The collar is worked with 1 strand of either Pure Silk, Cotton Merino or Merino.

Lace Collar is worked back and forth in a simple but decorative eyelet pattern that gives the collar a nice drape and is also easy to knit.  The collar is finished by shaping the neckband and crocheting a buttonhole loop and attaching 1 button – making the collar easy to put on and off.

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Pure Silk, Cotton Merino or Merino (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 1 (1) ball.  Sample is in Pure Silk in Cream colorway
Needles: 3 mm / US2.5 circular needle, or in size to obtain gauge
Gauge (after blocking): 28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm [4”] in st st with 3 mm / US2.5 needles
